The 7 Words Every Author Wants to Hear (And I Heard Them!)

Writer's picture: Mary S. CatlinMary S. Catlin

I had my a book signing today at Barnes and Noble. It was the most amazing experience. I can honestly say that it was everything I dreamed about. Not only did I make new connections and meet fresh faces, but I was approached by someone who uttered the seven words every author longs to hear:

"Your books got me back into reading."

That one comment was so humbling to hear. I completed my trilogy, The Haighdlen Chronicles, back in August, and I have been receiving a lot of positive feedback. I love literature, and I am a primary teacher who teaches children to read. So, when I heard this wonderfully melodic phrase, my heart nearly burst.

I created the world of Haighdlen (pronounced HIDE-LYNN) to be a wonderous place full of magic and legacy. Ever since I was a child, I've always loved storytelling. Hearing that I got someone back into reading is the highest praise I could ever receive, because it opened up the opportunity for this person to not only dive into Haighdlen, but to experience other magical worlds out there.

Experience it for yourself and become immersed in this magically epic tale by clicking here to read The Haighdlen Chronicles today!
